![]() Using Yelan with Yoimiya won't make her vape any more frequently, and it will be up to Yelan's passive and her personal damage to make up for the big difference in DPS between the two teams. ![]() Yoimiya can vape only some of her attacks, while Hu Tao can vape almost everything (unless you scuff the cancels or use the inferior Double Geo Hu Tao). And in multitarget scenarios the difference is even bigger Hu Tao is better in general due to her ult (and potentially her CAs) hitting more than one enemy. I think in terms of pure single target DPS, only Rational is stronger than VV Vape Hu Tao out of the mainstream teams at F2P/low spender levels according to calcs of it on gcsim and testing if I remember correctly. It's going to be a super hard endeavor for Yoimiya to outDPS Vape Hu Tao (especially VV Vape Hu Tao) even with Yelan. Same goes for EZAs in Dokkan Battle or Retrofits in Azur Lane just to name some examples. Look at FGO for example constantly buffing old Servants and even making them top tier units.īeing released later in a games lifecycle just means that they can experiment more with their kits to make them unique and stand out. You said that power creep is inevitable in gacha games, but that's not really true. Old characters also get buffs like Noelle, Qiqi and Albedo getting new sets or dedicated weapons. There were a lot of people complaining how weak and unpolished the Inazuma characters feels in fact. ![]() Look at Ganyu, Hu Tao, Zhongli, Venti, Xiao, Eula, Albedo all characters that came out quite a long time ago with some of them close after release and they're still as strong as they were. That has literaly nothing to do with the problem the other user described and neither are we in a state of powercreep, yes diluc fell of but he's one of the very few people.
